The Thorntons Recycling App is used for Domestic Waste Service customers to enable them to manage their account, view bin collection calendars and hire a skip at discounted rates.
Púca worked with Thorntons to develop a self-service app that would allow customers to access their accounts and provide real time information along with service updates. The challenge was to link the app to their existing account so that customers could check and ‘top-up’ their account through Realex payment, as well as access collection schedules and calendar information.
This app provided a convenient “always on” service channel with no call-waiting, while deflecting calls from their contact centre resulting in overall cost savings. Key features such as push notifications which use Púca’s notification platform and self service options has greatly improved Thornton’s customer service; saving them time and effort.
